Mixer valve for exhaust pipe - has short body with butterfly valve and external flap valve

The mixer valve for an exhaust line has a butterfly valve (9) to control the pressure level in the pipe and with a lateral flap valve (6) to control the rate at which air is added to the exhaust to enhance expulsion. The valve has a two part sleeve (1,2) clamped about the pipe and a servo drive (M) for both valve elements. The air admittance flap (6) is hinged on the two part sleeve by a simple pivot pin (5) with the free end (6a) linked to the servo crank (10) by a spring. The butterfly flap (9) has a shaft (8) through the crank with bearings (7) on the sleeve. The valve has a short length and is easily accommodated in existing exhaust lines.
