Heater for car door - has double heat pipe transfer system with contact area alongside door hinge

The heater for a car has a booster comprising heated panels in the doors linked to the engine by heat pipes. At least two sets of heat pipes are required, linked near the door hinge by opening contacts so that rigid pipes can be used. The contact areas comprise a fixed area (11) linked to the engine and a moving area (12) attached to the door. The fixed area has some elasticity using a bellows construction with an integral gas cushion. This ensures max. thermal contact and heat transfer. No moving parts are required for the heating panels, nor any pumped fluid curcuit.
