PURPOSE:To obtain the titled substance containing absorbable calcium, by converting a system of calcium carbonate, e.g., a shell, egg-shell, etc. into a system of calcium oxide by heat treatment, followed by blending the system with a food, drug, feed, etc. CONSTITUTION:A system of calcium carbonate, e.g., a shell such as a scallop, etc., coral, eggshell, etc. is converted into calcium oxide or a composition consisting essentially of calcium oxide by heating. Calcium oxide or the composition is reacted or blended or impregnated with water, steam, carbonate, e.g., calcium carbonate, etc., edible organic acid, e.g., brewed vingar, etc., component of medicinal herb, e.g., neem tree, etc., drug, food, feed, or fertilizer, and the precipitate is removed. The solution is then heated or dried to give a solid substance or liquid useful as a drug, food, cosmetic, feed, fertilizer, etc. Since calcium is contained in a state to be ionized readily, it is apt to be absorbed in the body, and it contains other minerals. |
