<p>Textile dyeing apparatus includes a vegetable gum dye resist applicator apparatus which forms a viscous vegetable gum into a continuous sheet having a given uniform thickness and almost perfectly smooth surface. This gum is applied in a continuous process over the tufted surface of a carpet. Droplets of dye as provided by a conventional dyeing apparatus are applied to the vegetable gum dye resist coated carpeting. The coated carpeting is then applied to a steaming apparatus for fixing the dye to the carpet.</p> |
