PURPOSE:To reproduce video signal with good quality, by avoiding the lowering in the level of playback signal and correcting the discontinuity of playback horizontal synchronizing signal, in the playback of video signal through the run of different speed of magnetic from the recording. CONSTITUTION:A playback signal from the 1st and 2nd playback magnetic heads HA, HB is fed to the 1st switch circuit SWb via switch circuits SWa1, SWa2 through playback amplifiers 1a, 1b and 1a', 1b'. This circuit SWb is controlled with the output of the 1st switching circuit 10 for the switching of playback signal within the horizontal blanking period, and it is fed to a demodulating circuit 6, and the demodulated luminance signal and carrier chrominance signal inverted are input to the 2nd switch circuit SWc directly and via a delay circuit 7. Further, the 3rd switching signal generating circuit 23 discriminates the discontinuity of playback signal of the circuit SWb and controls the 3rd switching signal generating circuit 22 set/reset with the output of the phase comparison circuit 21, and the output of the circuit 22 switches the circuit SWc. |
