PURPOSE:To suppress data transmission not wanted by a reception side by dividing picture data into small areas based on a change in the picture data and adding information representing a position relating to an entire picture to the small areas and sorting the areas in the order of expressing characteristic points of the picture strongly and sending the pictures in the sorted order. CONSTITUTION:The picture data compressed by the adaptive DELTAM (delta modified) system is subject to identification for the increasing analog value and the decreasing analog value and cells are formed in a memory every time the tendency varies. In forming the cells for the entire picture, the cells are sorted in the size of the cell (larger cell to smaller cell). The sorted cells are referenced and the transmission data is generated from the head of the cell and sent splittingly. In forming the sent data, the data representing the position with respect to the entire picture is added for the restoration at the reception side. The reception side restores the sent data and displays the result on the screen of the display device. In this case, the characteristic part of the picture is observed earlier. |
