PURPOSE:To service a tundish safely and radiply by providing a mechanism which supports a tundish at both ends, turning it over and pushing and knocking off the base metal secured to the inside bottom of the tundish. CONSTITUTION:A tundish 1 is placed on a supporting base 3, and an extension cylinder 4 is extended to fix both side parts of the tundish 1. Next, a revolving shaft 2 is turned to turn the tundish 1 over and a carriage 13 is made run until the rod end of a base knockout extension cylinder 15 aligns to a stopper hole 14, when the carriage 13 is fixed by means of a rail clamp 16. Next, the cylinder 15 is operated to lower the rod 15a, thereby knocking off the base metal 18 secured to the bottom surface in the tundish 1. With this mechanism, the tundish 1 may be serviced easily without exposing employees to high temp. |
