PURPOSE:To improve regenerative braking performance increasing a number of rotations of torque decrease by a method wherein a field current control means is fed with a field current control limitter output as an input at a negative value for producing a constant torque according to a reference value of a regenerative torque. CONSTITUTION:A gate of a thyristor FTh is controlled to perform a constant current control by means of a field current control circuit and a field phase shifter 6 with the reference voltage and field current.
