PURPOSE:To improve a commutation efficiency without using a commutation capacitor by a method wherein a commutated current passed through a commutating bias power source is led to the output side of a thyristor bridge, in the self- exciting type inverter with thyristors. CONSTITUTION:Main thyristors 20-23 connected in antiparallel with diodes 24-27 for a fly-wheel respectively are bridge-connected between a DC power source 28 and a load 29. One sides ends of semiconductor switching elements 30, 31 having self-arc-suppressing capability are connected to the positive and negative sides of the DC power source, a rectifier smoothing circuit 32 is connected between the other side ends. The rectifier smoothing circuit 32 is provided with a secondary winding of a transformer 33 as an input means of which primary winding is connected to an output terminal of the thyristor bridge, and becomes the commutating bias DC power source. With the continuities made in the switching element 30 and the thyristor 34, the voltage having flown in the main thyristor 20 is commutated and turned OFF. |
