The egg-shell perforating instrument is designed to release the air trapped inside the shell during boiling so as to prevent the egg from cracking. The instrument consists of a piece (1) which at the top is in the form of a spherical cap (4) at the bottom of which is fixed a needle (2) of three millimetres' length. The base piece has a central foot.
