Radio controlled braking system for motor vehicle - uses signal from control vehicle to operate solenoid which releases compressed air to actuator which moves brake pedal

During driving tuition with the pupil alone in one vehicle and the instructor in another, emergency braking of the pupil's vehicle is initiated by the instructor using a radio signal which is received on the pupils vehicle to operate a solenoid valve. The solenoid valve is used to release compressed air from a storage tank to a pneumatic cylinder which actuates the brake pedal through a pivoted rod. The rod slides inside a hollow tube guide fastened to brake pedal so that the brake pedal may be operated normally, with the tube sliding along the rod attached to the pneumatic cylinder. A shoulder on the rod immediately operates the brake pedal if the pneumatic cylinder moves the rod in the direction of brake pedal operation.
