PURPOSE:To enable the disc playback of different types with a signal device, by using the optical information signal from a contact type or optical pickup means for the playback or track detection of recording signal of a disc. CONSTITUTION:When a switch 8 selects analog, the device is operated as a playback player of conventional audio discs, and the optical type pickup 7 of the 2nd arm 5 operates as the generating means of control signal for the operation of the 1st arm 4. When the switch 8 selects digital operation, the arm controller 10 operates the 1st arm 4 holding the cartridge 6 to enable the pit train trace of the disc by an optical pickup 7 of the 2nd arm 5 so that the stylus can not touch the disc. The output of the pickup 7 is demodulated into PCM at an FM demodulator 16 and input to a digital playback device for playback. |
