It comprises a pulley (2) mounted on a journal (3) of horizontal or near-horizontal axis, carried by the arm (4) of a pylon or gantry and with which there is associated a guide slide (11, 13) for the fasteners (7) for poles (9) driven by the cable (5) and whose role is to prevent the poles (9) from butting into the groove (2a) of the pulley (2) by laterally offsetting them on the side opposite the end of the journal (3) carried by the arm (4). The means for taking up the cable in the event of derailment comprise a stirrup-shaped member (14) fixed by one (14a) of its branches to the free end of the journal (3) of the pulley (2), and whose other branch supports one of the ends of an auxiliary slide (15) whose other end is supported by the main slide (13), this stirrup (14) being arranged so as to constitute a cradle for receiving the cable (5) when it falls out of the groove (2a) of the pulley (2). <IMAGE>
