PURPOSE:To obtain optical information storage medium reversible, by forming a closed space of two sections linked in many numbers up and down of transparent disc, and filling in fluid metal to one chamber and nonmetallic liquid to another chamber. CONSTITUTION:Metallic liquid 10 like mercury is filled in a chamber 8 formed in a transparent disc, and nonmetallic liquid like colored alcohol is filled in the air gap of a chamber 7, linking part 9 and chamber 8, and when laser light is irradiated to the chamber 8, the nonmetallic liquid is evaporated and expanded, and the metallic liquid 10 moves toward the arrow with the pressure and enters the chamber 7. With this operation, the storage state of information can be changed. Weak collected light is used for readout. |
