The automatic vertical adjustment for a telescopic sight incorporates a measuring device (1) or a photo electric device to determine the firing range. This is then transmitted to an analysing calculator (4) in the form of distance and ballistic information according to the ammunition used. This gives the relation between distance and elevation controlling the action of a micromotor (5) acting on the screw (8) adjusting the vertical fixing of the aiming telescope. The measurement can be done by correcting prisms (2) with a contact (6) of an image analyser (3).
