The shutter on reinforced concrete columns, comprises two vertical elements which meet on a vertical plane to define the required form. The column cross section is symmetrical about the joint plane, and tie bolts (5) through posts (4) secure the assembly. In the case of a square column, two L-section elements join on a diagonal, each comprising 'L' shaped demi-yokes (3) locating perpendicular lined (2a) sheeting (2) panels. Yokes (3) are provided at definite vertical centres, depending on concrete pressures, connected by posts (4) in notches (3b). The post arrisses are bevelled (4a) to seat the retaining nuts (5a) of the tie bolts (5). The yoke ends (3c) may overlap and the panel edge steps (2b) interlock.
