End face threaded bolts (3) are welded onto steel bars (1), in concrete reinforcement, to be joined together by means of a connecting socket. The bolts absorb at least the tension force which the bars are capable of absorbing. A connecting socket, in threaded socket form (2), is screwed onto the bolts, and this is also capable of absorbing at least the same tension forces. The bolt welding process may be used. Bolts and bars may be coaxially arranged. A counter nut (5) on the bolts can reduce slippage.
