<p>The anti-theft roof rack mounting for a surfboard supports the board on two transverse bars (2) clipped to the rain gutters, with a longitudinal bar (8) clamped along the middle of the roof. A locking bar (11) is slid through the centre board slot (7) in the board and locates in a security lock (9) on the longitudinal bar. The locking bar is adjustable in the lock, using a locking ratchet so that any thickness of board is securely clamped by the wide head of the locking bar. The transverse bars and the longitudinal bar are telescopic to fit any size of car, and the gutter mountings are similarly locked in place. The fittings requires minimum manual effort.</p> |
