PURPOSE:To shorten the data transfer time and prevent troubles generated in data transfer to simplify workability, by performing operations concerning the journal without data movement. CONSTITUTION:Instructions from host computer 1 are transferred to direct access storage device 5 and mass storage device 6 through control device 2 to execute a desired information processing. Fixed block architecture 7 is adopted for storage device 5. In case that table 3 is controlled by control device 2 to execute job, a virtual journal generated in journal indicator 4 is used without movement of the journal to make it possible that computer 1 accesses directly required data of storage device 5 where data required for job is filed. Thus, the data transfer time is shortened and troubles in data transfer are prevented to simplify workability. |
