Sliding cover for vehicle mounted skip - has box section frame with recessed mounting for sliding gear track, supporting cover hoops

The skip cover has a hollow section frame (3) shaped to fit onto the top lip of the skip (2). A sliding gear (20) in a recessed mounting on the outside supports hoops for the tarpaulin cover. The frame is strong and lightweight and is easily fitted over standard skips. The sliding gear is protected from any bulk load dropped into the skip. The top edge of the frame is sloped inwards to guide the load into the skip, while the outside edge has the recess (30) holding the T-profiled rail (14), over which the sliding gear rollers are secured. The bottom of the frame has a U-shaped section (12) to fit securely over the edge of the skip without any fasteners.
