<p>A frame in the form of a composite heat-insulating profile, with one or more connecting profiles holding its metal profiles apart holds a pane with interposed edge sealing units between two protruding shanks. It is used in a frame with inserted pane or similar filling for windows, doors or facade elements. The hollow space (14) between the outer and inner metal profiles (2,3) contains a screening piece (15) of heat-insulating material, filling its whole width. This can be a strip, foamed plastic filling, or protruding edge sealing unit (13) lip. Heat transfer between the clamping shanks is prevented.</p> |
