The connector is for electrical wiring and printed circuit boards in areas where space is limited as in the engine compartments of motor vehicles. The plug and socket arrangement formed by spade or slip male electrodes and sprung female electrodes has the individual wire connection points arranged in high density rows which allow cross wiring without undue fouling of adjacent connections to the male and female electrodes. The socket assembly which can include a large number of individual connection compartments integral within an overall block can have parallel rows in the same block. Location of the electrodes is via dovetail shaping and short ramp protrusions within the block.
