Pipe wrapping bandage - made of PVC with plasticiser or rigid PVC

A wrapping bandage for use in sealing leaking spots in piping and for pipe insulation consists of a thermoplastic material which is automatically restored after it has been stretched. Suitable materials are PVC contg. a plasticizer or rigid PVC. The former need not be wrapped very tightly nor does it require the applicn. of heat. Rigid PVC is suitable for higher internal and external pressures but requires the applicn. of heat above the stretch temp.
