The shuffling device (10) is shaped like a sleeve (12) with four walls (14,16,18,20), and with at least two opposing wall sections in the lower part of the sleeve removed and with the two remaining walls reducing to tongues (22,24) with the width of the cards being shuffled being greater than the width of the tongues.
