摘要 <p>The required h.v. for the energising of the carbon dioxide high performance laser is generated by an alternating magnetic field in an inductor. The latter consists of a coil (1) wound round a ferromagnetic hollow core (2). Inside the latter is inserted another coil (3), closely abutting the core walls. The two coils are so interconnected that the current flows through them in the same sense. The laser is connected to the free end of the inner coil via a switch (4). The core is pref. of ferrite. The switch may be formed by a thyristor, or by several series-connected thyristors. The inductor (1-3) may form a secondary coil of a transformer and may be arranged in the region of a rotary magnetic field. The latter may be generated by a mechanically moved magnet. Alternately, the rotary magnetic field is generated by an alternating magnetic field, using a phase shifted field generation in a stationary coil system.</p>
