Aq. surfactant concentrate (I) contains at least 20 wt.% of water-soluble salts of one or more of the following surfactants together with minor amts. of viscosity regulators (II):alkyl-or alkylaryl-polyglycol ether sulphates, alkylarylpolyglycol ether sulphates, alkyl sulphates, alkylarylsulphonates, alkyl-or alkylaryl-polyglycol ether sulphosuccinates, or alkylsulphosuccinates. (II) used are water-soluble salts of mono- and/or disulphates of a lower polyalkylene ether glycol (III) having mol. wt. of at least 600, opt. with lower glycol (III) of mol. wt. of at least 1500. The flow behavjour of highly viscous concentrates (I) is improved by adding minor amts. of (II). (11pp).
