<p>The mounting is particularly for disposable insulin syringes used by diabetics, comprising a flat column (1) standing on a platform (2). The body has a steeply-sloping face (3) with recesses (4,5) in its surface to accommodate the syringe, these incorporating in particular a transverse slot (4) at the lower end in which holding lugs on the syringe fit, and a lengthwise depression (5) for the syringe itself. Below the slot a portion (10) is milled out to take the syringe handle. The lengthwise depression (5) has a semicircular portion (17) milled out to divide it, and at the top end joins onto a wider depression (12) for an insulin ampoule. When the syringe has been fitted in place, its needle protrudes into this wider depression.</p> |
