The microwave heater has two separate transmitters comprising two opposing pairs of windows of equal phase between the associated windows and polarised perpendicular to one another between the two groups in the heating region so that the object being heated lies in the primary field of the radiation. One pair of windows lies near the edge of the object, polarised parallel to the tangent of the adjacent edge. The other is polarised perpendicular to this in the neighbourhood of the middle. The feeder waveguides are circular or rectangular.
|
