<p>PURPOSE:To execute a high track density by providing a dislocation quantity detecting means to detect a dislocation quantity from the master stripe of the scanning locus of a rotary head, a correcting quantity calculating means to calculate a tape sending quantity from the detected dislocation quantity, a correcting quantity storing means to store the correcting quantity and a bending quantity correcting means to send a tape in accordance with the correcting quantity. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic tape 1 with a master stripe records a master stripe which is the reference of the track of a rotary head and a dislocation quantity detecting means 2 detects the dislocation quantity from the master stripe of the scanning locus of a rotary head at plural positions on a stripe from a rotary head reading output. A correcting quantity calculating means 3 calculates a tape sending quantity to correct the bending at plural positions on the stripe from the dislocation quantity and a correcting quantity storing means 4 stores the correcting quantity calculated by the correcting quantity calculating means 3. A bending correcting means 5 rotates a capstan motor and sends the tape in accordance with the stored correcting quantity. Since the bending of the stripe can be corrected, a high track density can be executed.</p> |
