<p>A waveform generator includes a switch 12 for selecting a triangular or sawtooth waveform at an output A1. A constant current source 1 charges a capacitor 2. Maximum and minimum desired capacitor voltages are detected by comparators 4, 5. For producing the sawtooth waveform, the comparator 5 triggers a monostable 13 which switches on a transistor 3 to discharge capacitor 2. For producing the triangular waveform a polarity reversing circuit 10 periodically reverses the polarity of the charging current from the source 1 to the capacitor 2, in response to successive maximum and minimum voltage detections by the comparators 4, 5. The charging voltage UL can be varied to alter the waveform slope, a voltage UV can be altered to vary the output bias, and an external control voltage US can be used to control the waveform timing. <IMAGE></p> |
