PURPOSE:To prevent minute substances from being crystallized and to sharpen the thermal responsiveness, by adding an alkyl carboxylic acid anilide to a heat-sensitive layer consisting of a heat-sensitive material prepared by combining a color-forming lactone compound with an acid substance containing a phenolic compound. CONSTITUTION:In a heat-sensitive recording material containing a heat-sensitive layer, forming a color by the heat applied, supported on a base, said layer consisting of a heat-sensitive material prepared by combining a color-forming lactone compound with an acid substance containing a phenolic compound, an alkyl carboxylic acid anilide compound is added to the heat-sensitive layer. As to the alkyl carboxylic acid anilide, a compound represented by the formula (wherein R is 11C or higher alkyl; X is H, CH3, OCH3, halogen, OH or NO2; Y is H, CH3, or halogen; Z is H or halogen) and of which melting point 70 deg.C or higher, for example, stearic acid anilide and behenic acid anilide are favorable. |
