<p>PURPOSE:To improve a disposal efficiency and to make an operation simple, by arranging plate members for adhering bacteria films in a cylindrical vessel positioned rotatably and horizontally, and carrying contaminated water through the vessel. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical vessel 1 positioned horizontally is provided with a contaminated water charging inlet 2 at its one end, and with a clarified water discharging outlet 3 at its other end. In the vessel 1, a plurality of plate members 5 are arranged and fixed for adhering bacteria films thereon. A predetermined amount of contaminated water is continuously introduced into the vessel 1 being rotated. Organics contained in the water are decomposed by aerobic bacteria adhered onto the plate members 5, and decontaminated water is discharged through the outlet 3. Due to the rotation of the vessel itself, bacteria grow well not only on the plate members but also onto the inside surface of the vessel, so that a bacteria-adhering surface area is enlarged. Consequently, contaminated water is disposed with a high efficiency. Besides, it is not necessary to use a protect cover which has been required so far for a decontamination water vessel.</p> |
