PURPOSE:To improve the efficicency of driving and braking of the subject motor by a method wherein a potential inverter is connected to the primary winding of a wound-rotor induction motor and a Scherbius device is connected to the secondary winding. CONSTITUTION:The voltage-type inverter VIN, consists of a thyristors SCR1 and SCR2, a capacitor C and the like, is connected to the primary winding of the wound-rotor induction motor IM, the thyristor SCR1 is controlled so as to have the voltage in proportion to the frequency and the thyristor SCR2 is controlled so as to have the frequency in proportion to the sum of the number of revolution and the slip. On the other hand, the Scherbius device consists of a rectifier circuit SR, a thyristor SCR3, a DC reactor DCL and the like, is connected to the secondary winding of the motor, the secondary AC power of the motor is converted to DC by the rectifier circuit SR and the secondary current of the motor is controlled by the thyristor SCR3. As a result, the technique for the Scherbius device is established, the device is stabilized and its driving and controlling efficiency is excellent, thereby enabling to improve the driving and braking efficiency of AC machines. |
