PURPOSE:To operate the stop control in maintainability and reliability by a method wherein a speed of the carrier is detected from a photosenser without a direct contact and the linear motor for driving the carrier is controlled according to the detected speed. CONSTITUTION:A rail 2 connects between a plurality of stators 1, 4, and a secondary conductor of the carrier 3 capable of running along the rail 2 is situated between the individual stator magnetic poles to compose the linear motor. The photosensers 11a, 11b are provided near the respective stators 1, 4, and a slit plate 12 is mounted on the carrier 3, respectively, the output signals from the photosenser units A1, A2 are fed to a comparator D through an f/v converter C, and the frequencies are compared with a reference voltage V0. If the frequencies exceed the reference voltage, relays SSR1-SSR4 are controlled according to normal-reverse output (f) and the supply source S providing a thrust in the reverse direction or T-phase is controlled at input terminals IN1, IN2 of the linear motor I to effect stop- controlling the carrier 3. |
