<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a diode equipped with polarity indication so that polarity can be discriminated permanently without stamping of marks, by electroplating take-out- to-outside lead wires of the diode to provide it with conductive coating having different gloss by polarity. CONSTITUTION:One of take-out-to-outside copper lead wires 15 and 16 of a diode 10 is connected to plus (+) side and the other lead wire is soaked in a plating liquid having gloss-making additive. A glossy plated coating 17 is formed only on a lead wire of the diode of right polarity. And then, by repeating this plating process the flossy plated coating 17 is formed only on the lead wires which show right polarities. Since manufacturing in this manner eliminates necessity of such processes as selection of polarities and stamping of marks, it is possible to obtain a diode at a low cost.</p> |
