Motor vehicle brake fluid reservoir - is injection moulded in two parts and has filler filter and electric level indicator

The reservoir includes a level monitoring float and a filter preventing ingress of foreign material during filling. The reservoir is injection moulded in an upper and lower part the two parts being brought together permanently. The reservoir volume is divided into two sections by a vertical wall a hole in this allowing interchange of fluid between the two sections. An outlet in the base of each part allows connection into the vehicle hydraulic circuit. The filter is incorporated in a tapered wall filler point in one section of the reservoir the level monitor being in the other section. The monitor float moves vertically within a cylinder moulded with the top section and operates an electrical switch via a rod from its upper surface.
