<p>PURPOSE:To uniform the angular distribution of an ON-resistance due to the angular dependability of the light emission rate of a light source at a light potentiometer by changing the width of photoconductive film of a device for the potentiometer along the length of the film. CONSTITUTION:A device for a light potentiometer is equipped with a rectangular resister film 2, an input electrode 4 provided at the both ends of the film 2, an earth electrode 6, a photoconductive film 8 with which the film 2 contacts, and an output electrode film 10 contacting with the film 8. The potentiometer applies a light spot from a light source to a photoconductive film 8 via a movable mask to obtain an output voltage corresponding to the location of the spot. Since the light source has an angular dependability, however, the light quantity of the spot changes so that output voltage cannot obtain linearity. Therefore, the angular distribution of ON-resistance is uniformed for improving output voltage is linearity by changing the width of the film 8.</p> |
