PURPOSE:To operate well the thyristor valve even at leakage of cooling water by a method wherein spots sustaining the cooling water leaked in a stage and parts are isolated from others and the leaked water is discharged outside. CONSTITUTION:Pure water is fed to the stage 17, heat of the pure water after having passed the stage is radiated by means of a heat exchanger, and the same being further exchanged to pure water in an ion exchanger to be fed again to the stage. Elements arranged in the stages 17 (11) forming the thyristor valve 1 are classified into the parts 29, 30, 31 (12, 13, 15, 16) requiring water cooling and those 32, 33 (14) not requiring same and a partition plate 38 is inserted between them to prevent the leaked water from extending over other parts. In addition, a base plate 35 is inclined by some angle theta to lead the leaked water 41 to the bottom side of the base plate and to discharge it through a hole 39 opened at the bottom side of the base plate. |
