<p>The problem of leakage of fluid material from the mould cavity (36) in a pressure forming process between the faces of separate die-parts (29 and 31) is conventionally overcome by careful machining of the die parts. The invention provides a cheaper solution in which separable die parts are formed by casting a metallic slurry against a pattern (11) of the article to be pressure formed.
