Deflashing extruded plastic window frames - where machine blows hot air on to deflashed area to eliminate colour change

Weld flash is dressed off the visible surfaces of plastic extrusion frames, and window frames in partic., using a support to hold a milling cutter for the outer corners of the frame; this support moves along aon a framework and has at least one dressing cutter which is moved over the flash by the support. A hot gas supply blows a jet on the support which is directed on to the flash surface in front of and/or behind the cutter(s). Method eliminates in one operation the colour change on the visible surfaces produced by the deflashing.
