The hydrofoil arrangement for watercraft has the foils, basically conventional, mounted on hollow struts clear of the hull, and capable of pivoting about a horizontal transverse axis. Foil angle is controlled by a float (4) on a lever-arm (2d) via a rod- and/or cable linkage (2a,b,c) run inside the strut. A stop (5) limits foil-tilt upwards. From the lever-arm pivot (3) onwards, the mechanical controls may be replaced by electrical controls.
