The pressure measurement cap both tests the press of, and seals containers of compressed air. It is esp. applicable to vehicle and trailer tyres and results in simpler easier measurement and reductions in energy and cost. The pressure is directly observable without removal of the cap. The pressure measurement cap consists of a transparent cylinder or cap with a scale, press. disc, and sealing ring. It contains a repeatedly readable indicator consisting of a two coloured reversal membrane, a measurement piston, or a reagent bubble. Alternatively, mechanical measurement arrangements can be eliminated by use of a compressible gas or a liquid mixture. The measurement medium can be identical to the medium being measured. A graduated or go/no go indicator can be used.
