The dispenser has a container (1) with a partition (2) dividing it into upper (4) and lower (3) compartments. The partition is permeable to air but impermeable to the powder. The lower compartment contains a device for supplying air, e.g. a fan or pressure source. The upper compartment has a filling hole fitted with a closure (7) and a powder suction device (13). The upper compartment is divided into a powder-holding chamber (8) and an air-outlet chamber above the powder-holding chamber and connected to it. The air-outlet chamber is connected to a suction device (16). The suction device and the air supply device are switched on when the closure is opened.
