There is a plywood element which serves as the cushion support. This element is divided by recesses into resiliently deflectable tongues. In at least one part of these tongues the resilience is restricted by several spring members e.g. belts. These belts engage on one side with a fixed element of the seat and on the other side engage on the associated tongues in the area of their free ends. When stressed by the weight of the occupant the tongues bend and the associated belt expands resiliently, providing a comfortable support for the occupant of the seat.
|
