The wind-driven bladed rotor has its rotor body formed by the blades themselves. The blades are pref. so arranged that they divert the incident air flow and permit exit flow of the air either in axial direction or in radial direction (i.e. as cross-flow rotor). The position of one or more outlet openings may be arranged at a point protected from the wind, e.g. an outlet air shaft.
