The mast foot coupling securing arrangement is conventional in that the arms of a spring clip move laterally to engage a peripheral groove in a pin on the coupling when that pin is pushed into a housing. However the spring clip (11) is carried in an annular insert (9) screwed into the housing (3), its horizontally S-shaped arms (e.g. 16) engaging the groove (4) through slots in the insert wall. A down-pointing lug (14) formed in the clip crossbar engages a groove (37) in the base of a cupped concentric collar (10) around the insert. The groove runs so that rotating the collar varies the clip arms' depth of engagement. The collar's dished part is covered (12).
