PURPOSE:To stabilize an N-contg. compound as unstable photographic chemicals and enhance the shelf stability of the titled photographic material by adding the compound to a constituent layer of the material in the form of the reaction product with (sulfo)hydroxamic acid. CONSTITUTION:A compound contg. an N-contg. org. base such as an azole compound or an aromatic primary amine compound or a compound contg. a quat. N atom such as the compound of formula I as unstable photographic chemicals is reacted with hydroxamic acid or sulfohydroxamic acid to prepare a compound represented by formula II (where D is a compound contg. an N-contg. org. base or a quat. N atom; X is sulfonyl or carbonyl; R is substituted, unsubstituted alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl, alkoxy, allyloxy, phenyl or heterocyclic group; and m is 1-5). By adding the resulting compound to at least one of the constituent layers of a photosensitive material, the desired photographic material is obtd. |
