A switch for an overhead railways comprise rail sections 2, 3, 4 connected to a ring 1 and having rollers 9 connected to flanges 11 for movement along a fixed track 13. The sections 2, 3, 4 can connect fixed rails 5, 6, 7, 8 and are braced by members 14, a lever 16 pivoted to a member 17 has an arm 16a for engagement with notches in track 13 to hold the switch in a desired position. In Fig. 4, not shown, a conical bolt is spring biased into grooves in track 13 to locate the switch. The rail section 2 is pivoted to a bridge member 12 connected to rails 7, 8. |
