Cementitious bodies are cured by subjecting the bodies to a high frequency electric field, e.g. radio frequency, in the presence of sufficient water to complete the hydration reactions. The curing may be carried by placing the bodies between two electrodes, at least one of which is in contact with the body, and applying the field whilst water is sprayed on to the surface of the uncured body.
