PURPOSE:To facilitate supporting the quartz oscillator to make it small and thin, by forming the oscillating part, the supporting part consisting of the bridge part provided in the approximately center of the short side and oscillation arms, and the frame body surrounding the oscillating part and the supporting part in one body. CONSTITUTION:Ratio w/L of short side (width) (w) to long side (length) L of oscillating part 6 is specified within the range of 0.90-0.99. Bridge part 3 is provided in the approximately center of the short side to connect oscillating part 6 and oscillation arms 4. Arms 4 are connected to frame body 5, which surrounds oscillating part 6, bridge parts 3 and arms 4, into one body. The supporting arm is so formed that its length (l) satisfies l (2n+1)lambda/2(n=0, 1, 2,-) for wavelength lambda of the same bend oscillation as the frequency of longitudinal oscillation of the long side of oscillating part 6. |
